If you are an out-of-area student and would like to come to campus for orientation, the cost of room/board per day is $46.91 per guest. Housing will be provided in a residence hall,  air-conditioned double rooms. Linens will be provided.

Text Box: IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT ORIENTATION ELIGIBILITY 
Before you can attend orientation and register for classes, your admission to the University/CTC must be final.  This means that we must have your high school transcript (or GED certificate– one that shows you’ve graduated) or college transcript if you are a transfer student.  We will also need your ACT/SAT scores for first-time freshmen.
If you’ve taken dual credit or AP courses/tests while in high school, or if you are a college transfer student, make sure you’ve sent your tests results or transcripts.

New Student Programs

During Orientation you will have the opportunity to meet with WVSU and WVSCTC Student Orientation Leaders, learn about campus life and college expectations, receive academic advising from qualified faculty, and register for your classes. You will also be given lots of information on a wide variety of campus resources and services.

You can register for New Student Orientation online using this link.  Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, email address and the date you wish to attend orientation. 

Orientation day will be a full one for you—we begin with registration at 8:30 am and end with a wrap-up at 3:30pm.  Please plan to be on campus ALL DAY* for this critical student success event.
