New Student Programs

Math Placement

Text Box: All new students with an ACT math score of 0-18 will take a math placement test during Orientation for a fee of $20.00 (up to 2 tests). Students with a 19+ may take the placement test to try to place into a higher math.  The test is taken on a computer, is not timed and does not allow for calculators.  In order to place into as high a class as possible, you will want to review certain math principles. Practice questions can be found at the links below.
Text Box: Math Placement Requirements

The following practice questions will help you prepare for the Math Placement test given at New Student Orientation.  An answer key is at the end for your use.  Remember, the test will be given on a computer, it is untimed and you will not be allowed to use a calculator.  All students with an 18 or less on the ACT will take the test, and those with a 19+ may take the test to place into a higher math class than the entry level college algebra course.
